Obama Nominates REI Exec As Interior Secretary

The Associated Press reports that President Barack Obama will nominate Sally Jewell, president and chief executive officer at the outdoors company Recreational Equipment, Inc.(REI), to replace Ken Salazar as director of the Interior Department. Jewell is the first woman Obama has nominated for his second-term Cabinet and a prominent representative from the business community, addressing two criticisms Obama has faced, according to the AP.
