Folks living in the Rio Grande Valley have an opportunity to attend two Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission public hearings Nov. 6-7 in Mission and Brownsville.

The first hearing starts at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 6, in the Ruby Red room at the Mission Event Center, 200 North Shary Road, Mission, TX 78572.
The second one starts at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, in Room 241 of the Cameron County Courthouse/Oscar C. Dancy Building, 1100 East Monroe Street, Brownsville, TX 78520.

Each speaker will have two minutes to address the Commission about Texas Parks and Wildlife Department policies, goals, programs, and responsibilities.

The Commission’s regular November work session and public meeting will also take place in the Valley the same week. The work session will start at 9 a.m. Nov. 6, and the public meeting where commissioners will vote on agenda items will start 9 a.m. the following day, Nov. 7, both at the Mission Event Center.

A complete agenda for the meeting, along with options for providing public comment and listening in via live streaming audio, will be posted online.
