Reminder: National Hunting and Fishing Day This Saturday

Hunters and shooters — along with the firearms and ammunition industry — are among the leading financial contributors to conservation in America, paying for programs that benefit our nation and all its wildlife. This Saturday, Sept. 28, is National Hunting and Fishing Day, a day to honor and celebrate the contributions of sportsmen and women. Across the country this weekend Americans will celebrate by attending events, by teaching others about the efforts of sportsmen, or simply by enjoying the outdoor traditions they love with the ones they love. Texas Trophy Hunters Association™ invites you to meet us at the Biggest Outdoor Expo in Central Texas, Friday and Saturday, Sept. 27 – 28, at Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock, Texas, to celebrate. Stop by the TTHA tent and sign up to become a TTHA member. Bring a friend and get him or her to sign up, too!

The City of Round Rock’s Parks and Recreation Department will also host The Outdoor Family Campout. The Campout, scheduled on Friday, can help provide you with the basic outdoor skills necessary for an enjoyable and successful outdoor experience. Activities include rock climbing, lawn games, a reptile and wildlife demonstration, tent decorating contest, and more. Following the Campout, join Round Rock’s Parks and Recreation Department and Kids Outdoor Zone in celebrating National Hunting and Fishing Day on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It’s FREE to the public. The Kids Outdoor Zone is a youth hunting, fishing and outdoor adventure ministry based in Austin, Texas.
