Minnesota DNR Plans Emergency Deer Feed

 

With deer under stress because of extreme cold and deep snow in northern Minnesota, a reluctant DNR announced it will release $170,000 from a fund stocked with a 50-cent surcharge on all state deer hunting licenses to feed deer across the northeastern part of the state. It marks the first time since 1997 that supplemental feeding has taken place. Read more at the Duluth News Tribune.
