Bill Would Make Labrador Maine’s State Dog

 

Through the efforts of Labrador retriever owner and lover Stacy Giles, a bill has been drafted in Maine’s current legislative session that would make the breed Maine’s official state dog. “I think they would make an excellent symbol for what Maine stands for outdoorsmen, hunting, fishing, friendliness, and a healthy outdoor lifestyle,” explained Gile.
