Turkey crop rebounds from disastrous spring

Last spring, the statewide drought put a strangle hold on the turkey population. But this fall looks to be profitable for hunters, according to a game bird official at Texas Parks and Wildlife. He said this fall’s crop of birds looks especially good for the Cross Timbers portion of the state and many of the western counties. Read more in the Star-Telegram.
