Iowa Bill Would Require Double-fencing of Deer Farms

Reacting to the discovery of Chronic Wasting Disease in captive deer in Iowa, a measure introduced by Senate Natural Resources Committee Chairman Dick Dearden (D-Des Moines), would increase the height requirement for fences around Iowa deer farms and preserves from eight feet to 10 and add a requirement for 10-foot secondary fence.—courtesy (Cedar Rapids, IA) The Gazette
