Mule Deer Foundation Creating Pecos County Chapter

by | Jul 06, 2012

The Mule Deer Foundation (MDF) is starting a local chapter in the Pecos County area. An organizational meeting will be held Tuesday, July 10th, 2012, at the Stockton Entertainment Facility, 2181 West I-10, Ft. Stockton, Texas. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. All interested individuals are encouraged to attend and bring along a friend.

The Mule Deer Foundation is non-profit organization dedicated to conservation of mule deer, black-tailed deer, and their habitat. Unlike other big game animals, mule deer have not adapted well to changes in their environment. As urban areas continue to sprawl, and more people build homes in rural settings, mule deer and their habitat suffer.

Nearly 115 local MDF chapters are located throughout the central and western United States. Chapter members help raise money for conservation, initiate programs that benefit wildlife and offer educational and outdoor opportunities to all.
