Texas Trophy Hunters Association (TTHA) will be at the Don Hewlett Hunting and Fishing Expo taking place Saturday, October 22, 2011 from 8am to 3pm at the Don Hewlett Chevrolet dealership in Georgetown, Texas.  In addition to TTHA, there will be quite a few other hunting and fishing vendors.  Come out and visit and we'll see you there.

Austin, September 26, 2011 – The Don Hewlett Chevrolet Hunting and Fishing Expo is held in appreciation of the Central Texas Hunting and Fishing community. The latest in blinds, ATV’s, boats, hunting and fishing equipment will be showcased. Join us for family fun to include: The Hooked on Chevy Catfish Tank for the children, a rock climbing wall, photos with live longhorns, Safari Club International Taxidermy trailer, Operation Game Thief Taxidermy trailer, and delicious food vendors. Key event partners include Academy Sports+Outdoors, Rudy’s Country Store and BBQ, Safari Club International, Texas Trophy Hunters, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Hooked on Chevy Kid Fish and Austin Woods and Water.

Visitors will have the opportunity to win great prizes. The Hooked on Chevy catfish tank will offer hourly prizes for the largest catfish caught as well as give away 100 children’s tackle boxes. KASE-FM, KVET-FM, and KVET-AM will be on hand giving away prizes every fifteen minutes from 8AM to 2PM. Customers who purchase a vehicle on the day of the event will receive a $250.00 Academy Sports+Outdoors gift card.

All proceeds of the day’s event will benefit The Texas Parks and Wildlife Operation Game Thief Program. This program was created to assist game wardens in our state’s ongoing battle against poaching. Operation Game Thief quickly became a vital link between the sporting public and our game wardens, and has since evolved into one of the nation’s premier wildlife crimestopper programs.
